Autumn 1 Week 3

We have really enjoyed going on our bear hunt this week where we had to find hidden bears in the centre area and count them! We recorded how many we found on paper. We enjoyed listening to the story and joining in with the actions and the song. Please ask us about the adventure of going on a bear hunt. In phonics we have learnt the sounds i,n,m,d and tricky word 'the'. In literacy we have been looking at the function of a picture in a story and how it helps us understand what is happening. We have created our very own bear caves, discussing how to keep our bear warm and happy.

We have really enjoyed exploring texture through our sand painting and have been working really hard on our scissor skills, we are trying to build up the muscle strength in our fore finger and thumb to further develop our fine motor skills. These muscles are very important for our handwriting progression and it would really benefit us to practise this skill at home.

Have a look at our photographs from this week!
