This week's focus was 'Healthy Living' which the children thoroughly enjoyed. Our Sunday morning was kick started with a yoga workshop where we stretched and moved our bodies to wake them up. We discussed the importance of eating healthy foods and the effect this has on how our bodies grow, along with the positive long term development of our brain and concentration levels. We particularly enjoyed talking about different foods we can eat for our breakfast and how important this meal is to prepare us for the day ahead in school.
We have participated in a variety of physical activities to try out new skills, provide our bodies with movement breaks to help maintain focus on our tasks. Did you know we should have at least 60 minutes of physical exercise every day? We spoke about the various different ways we make sure to get this amount of vital exercise daily, cycling, running, playing football, playing with our friends in the park or playground or even helping out with the housework or gardening.
